One year after its cancellation, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is back! The quirky comedy series, created by Tina Fey, is making a comeback on Netflix as an interactive special titled Kimmy vs The Reverend. Much like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch but without the doom and gloom.

Ellie Kemper returns as Kimmy, a woman navigating New York City after escaping an underground doomsday cult led by Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne (Jon Hamm). Kimmy is taught how to be street-wise by landlady Lilian (Carol Kane), after being trapped for 15 years inside a bunker. Audiences loved Kimmy’s positivity and her friendship with struggling actor Titus (Titus Burgess), as well as the challenges of daily life as a nanny for socialite Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski).
The interactive special, as shown in the trailer, features Kimmy as she plans her wedding celebrations to a prince, introducing Daniel Radcliffe to the cast. After finding out the Reverend has been kidnapped more women for his doomsday cult, Kimmy must decide whether to plan her wedding or pursue a rescue mission. As this is interactive, this is all decided by you! Like with Bandersnatch, there will be a chance for do-overs if you make mistakes along the way as you determine Kimmy’s adventures.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs The Reverend will be released on Netflix 12 May.
